Most ballpoint cartridges on the market use oil-based ink that sits on top of the paper, often leaving residue and drying out quickly—even when ink remains inside. Our water-based Saturated Ink is engineered for superior flow and realistic tattoo machine practice. The more liquid formula helps reduce drying and clogging while producing brighter, bolder marks with heavy, consistent flow. It is also resistant to early drying during use. This pack includes 6 ballpoint cartridges with a .5mm tip size. Each cartridge provides approximately 53 minutes of continuous ink flow at 4 volts. The recommended voltage is 4 volts or lower to prevent splatter and rapid ink depletion. The cartridges are compatible with tattoo machines with a 3.5mm stroke length or less. The saturated ink provides heavy, water-based ink flow that simulates larger needle groupings and produces bold, high-flow lines. It is best for straight tattoo machine control practice and is less suited for subtle tonal layering due to strong saturation. Designed for paper use only. Use a soft backing such as a foam pad, stacked paper, or fake skin underneath to protect the tip. Note: Tattoo pen not included.
